Cute baby animals

Baby koala Baby Koala

These marsupial mammals live in Australia and are one of the "laziest" animals on Earth, they sleep for about 20 hours a day. They are nocturne animals, with a good sense of smell and hearing. Koala bears sleep so much especially in the periods when food is scarce to save up energy. A baby koala is referred to as a joey and is hairless, blind, and earless. At birth the joey crawls into the downward-facing pouch on the mother's belly and remains hidden for about six months, only feeding on milk. After this period of time, it will start to explore the world outside the pouch. The joey will remain with its mother for another six months or so, riding on its back, and feeding on both milk and eucalypt leaves until weaning is complete at about 12 months of age. Source

Baby lion Baby lion

Lions are the only cats that live in groups, which are called prides. A pride of lions consists of related females and offspring and a small number of adult males. But not all lions live in prides. At maturity, young males leave the units of their birth and spend several years as nomads before they become strong enough to take over a pride of their own. Although it is known as the "King of the jungle", the lion lives in open fields and can be found all over Africa. Lions spend much of their time resting and are inactive for about 20 hours per day. Although lions can be active at any time, their activity generally peaks after dusk with a period of socializing, grooming and hunting. Lion cubs are born with spots, but as they mature, the spots fade; sometimes, however, the spotting can remain on their bellies and legs. Being the most vulnerable to predators when they are young, the spots may offer them camouflage until they are old enough to take care of themselves. Source

Panda bearBaby panda

Giant pandas are black and white bears that live in temperate-zone bamboo forests in central China. This species represents a true symbol of China, reason why it's protected by law. The chinese call their loved bears "large bear-cats". Baby pandas are born very little, almost the size of a mouse. For the first 6 to 8 weeks of life, they cannot open their eyes, and are virtually immobile until they reach 3 months of age. Although it is predominantly terrestrial, the giant panda can climb trees well. Like most bears, pandas are solitary animals, females with cubs being the only exception. The panda's fur may look dry and furry but it's oily. This oil substance helps to trap heat, keeping the panda warm in its cold environment. Source

SquirrelBaby squirrel

Squirrels are familiar to almost everyone. There are about 300 varieties of squirrels all over the world, with the notable exception of Australia. Squirrels typically live in trees, in holes in the trunk, or in treetop crow's nests. The homes in the treetops are called dreys and sometimes consist of two rooms and a nursery. An adult squirrel normally lives alone but will, in severe cold, share its home with other squirrels to conserve body heat. Once the temperature rises, the guests will be on their way. Source
