Crocodile facts
Crocodiles are large reptiles that usually live in the tropics. They are directly descended from dinosaurs and are one of the oldest species on the planet. Crocodiles live throughout Africa, Asia, America and Australia, congregating in freshwater environments in the worlds lakes and rivers. They are excelent swimmers, adapted very well to life in the water, where they do almost all of their hunting. Their eyes and nostrils are located on top of their head, which allows them to see and hear prey while partially submerged. As crazy as it sounds, crocodiles are known to swallow stones when they are on the banks of the water. The crocodile does this to help its digestive system and also to aid the crocodiles water buoyancy. It is thought that by swallowing stones, the crocodile may also be able to swim to deeper parts of the water. The crocodile is able to regrow new teeth very quickly after losing the old ones, throughout the crocodiles life.Source
Pythons
The Python along with the Anaconda are the world’s largest snakes. Pythons are non-venomous snakes that live near the equator, in Asia and Africa, where it is hot and wet and their huge bodies can stay warm. They are constrictors, which means that they will ‘squeeze’ the life out of their prey. They coil themselves around their prey and with each breathe the creature takes the snake will squeeze a little tighter until they stop breathing completely. Pythons are bulky snakes, so they don't move in a sideways s-shaped motion like some smaller snakes do. To move forward, the snake stiffens its ribs and the scales on its underbelly, which work to propel it forward. Source
Iguana facts
Iguanas are native to the jungles of central and south America, and the Caribbean. They have excellent vision and are able to see shapes, shadows, colors and movement at long distances. Iguanas use their eyes to make their way through crowded forests, as well as for finding food. They are great tree climbers and swimmers though they might appear clumsy sometimes. They jump into water when cornered by predators or climb up a branch to save their lives. Being a docile species of lizard, iguanas are often a popular choice when keeping exotic pets. Source
